'Liverpool's buy-to-let market is still pretty good, but it's the lower and middle ends of the market which remain attractive here,' says Alan Bevin of City Residential estate agents in Liverpool. Mr Bevan says the beneficial impact of the city's successful bid to be Europe's Capital of Culture has probably slowed recently. But planned infrastructure improvements, such as a new stadium for Liverpool FC, and an arena and conference centre at Kings Dock, suggest the city is still on the up.
'Postcodes such as L5, L7 and L8 are seeing more interest, especially as they are getting investment from Government,' says Mr Bevan.
Michaela Lancaster of Countryside Properties, whose developments include Linen Buildings in Preston and Mann Island in Liverpool, says there's been 'sustained investor demand'.
